Question 1

What is RCVRY HOUSE?

Accepted Answer

RCVRY HOUSE is a structured sober living home for men in Omaha, Nebraska. We provide safe, comfortable, substance-free housing along with recovery coaching, basic food, gym access, transportation support, structured activities, and a community of men working toward the same goal — while participants continue outpatient treatment through an outside provider.

Question 2

Is RCVRY HOUSE a treatment center?

Accepted Answer

No. RCVRY HOUSE is a recovery residence, not a treatment center. We do not provide clinical therapy, medical care, licensed counseling, or detoxification services. Participants receive those services through an approved outside PHP or IOP provider. RCVRY HOUSE provides the structured living environment, peer recovery coaching, and community support that complement that treatment.

Question 3

Who is eligible to participate?

Accepted Answer

RCVRY HOUSE is for men age 19 and older who are committed to remaining substance-free, enrolled in or planning to enroll in an approved PHP or IOP program, able to participate safely in structured nonclinical housing, and willing to follow house expectations. Applicants with registered sex-offender status or violent criminal histories are not eligible.

Question 4

Is outpatient treatment required?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Enrollment in an approved PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) or IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) through an outside provider is required. RCVRY HOUSE is designed to complement — not replace — that clinical care.

Question 5

What is PHP or IOP?

Accepted Answer

PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) and IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) are structured outpatient treatment programs provided by licensed clinical facilities. They typically involve several hours of group and individual therapy per day, several days per week. RCVRY HOUSE participants attend these programs through outside providers in the Omaha area.

Are drug and alcohol tests required?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Random drug and alcohol testing is a non-negotiable part of participation at RCVRY HOUSE. Testing protects the safety and sobriety of every man in the house.

Accepted Answer

All medications must be disclosed and reviewed as part of the admissions process. Medication questions are addressed individually — call us to discuss your specific situation.

Question 16

What happens if someone relapses?

Accepted Answer

A relapse is taken seriously and addressed immediately. Depending on the circumstances, a participant may be asked to leave the house to protect the safety and sobriety of everyone in the community. In some cases, a return may be possible after re-engaging with treatment. Every situation is handled individually and with honesty — the safety of the house always comes first.
